NEW HAVEN, Connecticut (June 17, 2014) – The law firm of Neubert, Pepe & Monteith, P.C. welcomes back attorney Vimala B. Ruszkowski as an associate with the firm in their New Haven office. Ms. Ruszkowski initially joined Neubert, Pepe & Monteith in 2009 focusing in the practice areas of Medical, Professional and General Liability-Defense but took a leave of absence in October of 2012 to care for her son who had been diagnosed with Stage IV Neuroblastoma, an aggressive pediatric cancer. Attorney Ruszkowski has rejoined the firm’s Medical Malpractice practice group on a part time basis.

“Vimala is a valued member of our firm and we are pleased that she has returned,” said Gregory J. Pepe, founding partner and president. “Clients and colleagues alike have been supportive of Vim and her family during her son’s illness, and I know I speak for all of the ‘NP&M family’ when I express my complete joy over the returning health of her son. It is proof positive that sometimes prayers are answered.”

Attorney Ruszkowski is enthusiastic about her return stating, “I’m so glad to be back at the firm I love, doing the work I enjoy and most importantly I’m so happy that my son is doing so well such that this return was possible.”

Ms. Ruszkowski earned her J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law and her B.S. with Honors from Sacred Heart University. She is admitted to practice in Connecticut and New York and is admitted to the U.S. District Court in the Southern District of New York and in the District of Connecticut.
