Neubert Pepe & Monteith, P.C. Welcomes Lauren T. Astone, Sarah N. Smeriglio and Jillian M. Anzalone

The law firm of Neubert, Pepe & Monteith, P.C. is pleased to welcome new Associates Lauren T. Astone and Sarah N. Smeriglio and Associate Pending Admission Jillian M. Anzalone. Lauren Astone joins the firm’s Hartford office and Sarah Smeriglio and Jillian Anzalone join the firm’s New Haven office.

Lauren T. Astone is a litigation attorney with a focus on professional liability and medical/dental malpractice defense, as well as insurance and employment law defense.  She handles multiple aspects of litigation, including initial case assessment, managing discovery, and preparing dispositive motions.  She has advocacy experience at both the trial level and before administrative agencies, including the Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities. Attorney Astone earned her J.D. from The George Washington University Law School with a concentration in Health Law. Attorney Astone is admitted to practice in Connecticut.

Sarah N. Smeriglio is a member of the firm’s Healthcare Law and Professional Malpractice & Insurance Defense practice groups. While in law school, she joined the firm as a legal extern assisting in the firm’s healthcare practice. She has experience drafting motions and qui tam actions, assisting with discovery, reviewing contracts, and providing guidance for health care compliance issues. Attorney Smeriglio is a graduate of Quinnipiac University’s three + three law program. She received her B.A. in Health Sciences, magna cum laude, and her J.D., cum laude, from the Quinnipiac University School of Law with a concentration in Health Law. Attorney Smeriglio is admitted to practice in Connecticut.

Jillian M. Anzalone is a law clerk in the firm’s Commercial Finance & Banking, Corporate & Business Transactions, and Real Estate law groups. Her previous work at a law clinic included drafting agreements, such as asset purchase agreements and real property leases, for small business owners and nonprofit organizations. She earned her B.S. at SUNY New Paltz and her J.D. from the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University, graduating magna cum laude. Ms. Anzalone served as the Editor-in-Chief of Pace Law Review.
