International Fundraiser ‘Dining Out For Life’ Supports AIDS Project New Haven

New Haven, Connecticut (April 30, 2014) – Ms. Brittany S. Cates, an attorney with the New Haven law firm of Neubert, Pepe & Monteith, P.C. and board member of AIDS Project New Haven (APNH) was one of the many dining patrons in the recent Dining Out for Life, an international fundraising event for AIDS service organizations. Since its inception in 1990, the international event has raised over 5.5 million dollars. AIDS Project New Haven was generously supported by 31 New Haven area restaurants who donated between 25%-100% of receipts. Donations support AIDS Project New Haven’s mission of providing no-cost life-sustaining services for those coping with HIV/AIDS and other chronic illnesses. Services include social work, case management, medication management, and food deliveries.

Ms. Cates enjoyed a Dining Out for Life lunch at New Haven’s Soul De Cuba Café together with several other APNH board members and staff. Joining the group was New Haven Mayor Toni Harp. “It is especially encouraging to see the New Haven community pulling together to help people,” Ms. Cates commented. “Community was the spirit of the day and is what makes AIDS Project New Haven able to do the critical work it does.” Ms. Cates, and Neubert, Pepe & Monteith attorney Greg Pepe and attorney Danielle Nicklas, all in the HealthCare practice group, have dedicated a good deal of time probono to assist APNH as the organization explores new endeavors to benefit its clients such as a mail order pharmacy service.

Neubert, Pepe & Monteith’s employees are committed to community involvement and service. Firm members serve in leadership positions with many civic, charitable, education, and community organizations in Connecticut and regularly participate in charitable events.
