Colleen M. Garlick Joins Circle of Care Board of Directors

NEW HAVEN, Connecticut (June 9, 2016) – Attorney Colleen Garlick of the law firm of Neubert, Pepe & Monteith, P.C. has joined Circle of Care as a board member. Circle of Care, a 501 (c) (3), not for profit organization was founded in 2003 and continues to provide practical, emotional and financial assistance to Connecticut families, through programs and services that meet the unique and challenging needs of pediatric cancer treatment.

Ms. Garlick’s board position includes the responsibilities of providing outreach from Circle of Care to the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. “I am excited to join Circle of Care’s board and look forward to bringing more of their programs to Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, to the children undergoing cancer treatments and their families,” stated Ms. Garlick.

The organization’s programs include “Bags of Love” delivered to the child at the hospital on the day of diagnosis, a support network connecting families who are in treatment with those who have been through it, hospital volunteers, bedroom makeovers at the child’s home, and a financial assistance program. Circle of Care notes that since 2003 they have reached over 2,000 families, delivering 1,700 Bags of Love, transforming over 83 bedroom makeovers, and providing over $1 million in direct emergency financial support to families struggling to make ends meet while caring for their sick child.

Neubert, Pepe & Monteith’s employees are committed to community involvement and service. Firm members serve in leadership positions with many civic, charitable, education, and community organizations in Connecticut and regularly participate in charitable events.
