Attorney Joseph J. Andriola Volunteers in Quinnipiac University’s Mock Trial Tournament
February 12, 2025Joseph J. Andriola, principal with the firm of Neubert, Pepe & Monteith, P.C. recently volunteered to act as a judge during Quinnipiac University’s Bobcat Invitational, a mock trial tournament that takes place each January.

Colleges from the region compete in the tournament with hopes of advancing to the next round. Attorney Andriola wanted to offer his experience from participating in several mock trial and moot court tournaments. “I’ve served as judge on several occasions,” he said. This was his second-year volunteering at Quinnipiac University. He has also judged at Yale and Connecticut College.
Many of the participants want to go to law school and become trial lawyers. “These are future members of the bar” Attorney Andriola said. “I’m always impressed by the preparedness, smarts, and talent shown by the students.” After a trial, judges talk to the students about their performance, and answer questions about the practice of law. “There is never a shortage of questions from the eager competitors,” he said.
Attorney Andriola hopes to encourage fellow bar members to consider volunteering. “It’s fun and interesting, and I’ve been happy to help.”
