Biography
William D. Catalina is a civil litigation attorney with a focus on professional liability and medical malpractice defense, as well as general liability matters. He handles cases at all stages of litigation, including case intake and assessment, managing discovery, preparing and arguing dispositive motions, and attendance at a variety of court hearings. Will has also represented clients at trial, as well as in connection with appeals. Additionally, Will has experience in representing clients with matters before various administrative agencies, including the Department of Public Health and the Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities.
Will is a 2005 graduate of the University of Connecticut School of Law. While in law school, he participated in the Human Rights & Asylum Clinic. It was in that role that he gained his first experience as an advocate by successfully representing an asylum applicant in a contested removal hearing before the U.S. Immigration Court.
Prior to entering private practice in 2007, Will served as a legal research clerk with the Connecticut Superior Court. In this role, he assisted trial judges in connection with legal research and drafting numerous court decisions. He was involved in both pretrial matters and trials while with the Superior Court. After many years of practicing law with a civil litigation firm in Hartford, CT, Will joined Neubert, Pepe & Monteith, P.C., in 2019, and became a principal with the firm in 2021.
Will is admitted to practice in the State of Connecticut and the U.S. District Court, District of Connecticut. He is currently a member of the Litigation Section of the Connecticut Bar Association.
He is an active member of the community of Colchester, Connecticut, where he volunteers for both the Colchester Soccer Club and the Colchester Baseball and Softball League.
