Biography

Robert P. Fitzgerald’s clients include individuals, municipalities, and businesses in the practice areas of insurance defense, municipal and land use litigation, employment discrimination, construction, probate, and insurance coverage litigation.

Prior to joining NP&M Robert was the Assistant Corporation Counsel for the Town of East Hartford, representing the town in tort, contract, municipal, zoning, and administrative law matters including complex claims and appearing on behalf of the municipality in state court and administrative agencies.

Robert has proven himself a skilled negotiator and problem solver by bringing positive resolution to complex claims.  He earned his B.A. from Westfield State University, and his J.D. from the Quinnipiac University School of Law. While attending law school, Robert received the Marci Karbane Moot Court Award and was recognized for distinguished academic achievement in negotiation and excellence in clinical work.

Outside the office, Robert is an active member in his community and member of his local Democratic Town Committee.  He is an advocate on behalf of young adults. He has spent more than a decade working with the Jordan Porco Foundation, which aims to prevent suicide and promote mental health.  While not in the office, Robert enjoys spending time with his wife Jessica and their young son.
