Neubert, Pepe & Monteith Employees Fill Back-to-School Backpacks to Overflowing

New Haven, Connecticut (September 3, 2013) – The attorneys and staff at the law firm of Neubert, Pepe & Monteith, P.C. have stuffed 3 backpacks to overflowing for donation to the New Haven Home Recovery’s Back-to-School program supporting local students from kindergarten through high school. The backpacks, filled with notebooks, pencils, crayons, glue sticks, folders, erasers, rulers, and calculators, signal an end to summer and the start of a new school year.

“The attorneys and staff of Neubert, Pepe & Monteith first learned of New Haven Home Recovery’s important services during the winter of 2009. At that time, many local service agencies were feeling the weight of the economic downturn while experiencing an increase in demand. We began our fundraising efforts for NHHR with a “Tacky Holiday Sweater” competition. With a lot of laughter, the pungent odor of mothballs, and healthy competition we raised significant funds for NHHR,” Lori Duval-DiMaio a paralegal at Neubert, Pepe & Monteith explained. Ms. Duval-DiMaio continued, “The Tacky Holiday Sweater competition is now an annual office fundraiser to support NHHR, as are other events like the Backpack Drive.”

Neubert, Pepe & Monteith’s employees are committed to community involvement and service. Firm members proudly serve in leadership positions with many civic, charitable, education and community organizations in Connecticut and regularly participate in charitable events and fund raising drives.
