Casual Friday Takes a Turn for the Red

February 5, 2014

New Haven, Connecticut (February 5, 2014) – One Friday a month is casual Friday at the New Haven Connecticut law firm of Neubert, Pepe & Monteith. Wearing jeans and other casual attire comes with a price as casual days are fundraising days. The firm’s employees have made donations to many local community organizations such as Loaves and Fishes and the New Haven Diaper Bank and national organizations such as the ASPCA. This Friday, February 7 Neubert, Pepe & Monteith employees, women and men, will wear red in support of National Wear Red Day and the battle against heart disease in women.

Heart disease is the No 1 killer of women in the US, claiming more lives than all forms of cancer combined as noted by the American Heart Association Go Red for Women campaign. The Go Red for Women Day on February 7 is a national fundraiser to raise awareness and funds for women’s heart health issues. Nancy Kinsella, a partner at Neubert, Pepe & Monteith, encourages her colleagues to join the fight against heart disease; the silent killer. Ms. Kinsella states, “As a firm, we are happy to join together not only to raise much needed funds for this cause, but more important, to raise awareness of these significant issues.”
