Gina Medico is a skilled paralegal with experience in many practice areas including, probate administration, wills and trusts, family law, and residential and commercial real estate transactions. Early in her career she worked for the firm of late Florida State Senator Robert Johnson. There she was tasked with maintaining all aspects of the general practice law office while Senate was in regular or special session, including attending administrative hearings for probate and guardianship matters. In later positions, she gained experience in employment and workers’ compensation, malpractice, and personal injury litigation. Assisting the firm’s attorneys in case matters, Gina routinely coordinated depositions and trial calendars, gathers and reviews discovery documents, prepares Demand packages and prepares attorneys for trial, among other responsibilities.

Gina earned an A.S. in Paralegal from the State College of Florida and a B.S. in Criminal Justice, magna cum laude, from Bay Path University. She is a member of Alpha Phi Sigma the National Criminal Justice Honor Society, and she holds NALA Board Certification in Litigation, Real Estate, Family, and Criminal Law.

Gina has a passion for assisting others and regularly volunteers with organizations that bring awareness to violence against women. Gina recently started the nonprofit Sweet Corner Girl Corp. to bring awareness to domestic abuse and to the lack of funding which is essential for women to escape before domestic abuse becomes violent. Connecticut is one of only four states that has passed legislation making coercive control a factor in restraining orders and child custody cases.
