Michael G. Iovanna is a civil litigation attorney whose practice focuses on construction litigation, commercial litigation, and professional malpractice and insurance defense. Attorney Iovanna has gained extensive experience in pretrial proceedings. He has taken and defended numerous depositions and has been involved in mediations, arbitrations and pre-trial conferences. He joined Neubert, Pepe & Monteith, P.C. in 2019 after spending a year at an established regional insurance defense firm.
Attorney Iovanna is a graduate of the University of Central Florida and University of Connecticut School of Law. While in law school, he was a competitor in the highly selective American Association for Justice (“AAJ”) Student Trial Advocacy Competition where he competed on a regional level. He also served as a certified legal intern for the Connecticut State’s Attorney’s Office where he was appointed lead intern on a nationally known murder trial.
Attorney Iovanna has volunteered over 500 hours of pro bono work in the State of Connecticut. During his tenure as a certified legal intern with the State’s Attorney’s Office Attorney Iovanna conducted extensive pro bono work. This work included trying cases for the motor vehicle docket, including de novo trials; drafting of briefs, motions, and pleadings; presenting arguments in front of Superior Court criminal judges on behalf of the people of the State of Connecticut including bond arguments, asset forfeiture arguments, and sentencing arguments.
Attorney Iovanna is admitted to practice in the State of Connecticut. He is a member of The American Association for Justice, the Connecticut Bar Association, Connecticut Italian American Bar Association, Connecticut Defense Lawyers Association and the New Haven County Bar Association.
